Hi, I am Janice Stokes, the inventor and creator of Purse Guardian™.

The idea for Purse Guardian™ began after watching a local news broadcast showing footage of a purse being stolen from a grocery store shopping cart. The theft happened so quickly that the shopper had no idea her purse was gone. The news anchors warned viewers that this type of theft was becoming more common and encouraged shoppers to be more aware of their surroundings.

As a Christian, the story deeply upset me, so I prayed, “Lord, something has to be done.”

At that moment, I had a vision for a protective cover that would attach to a shopping cart and help women shop safely and without worry.

As a designer, artist, and seamstress, I went to work the very next day. I visited my local fabric store, gathered materials, and created the very first Purse Guardian™ prototype.

I intentionally designed Purse Guardian™ to serve a dual purpose — not only helping protect your purse and valuables, but your identity, car keys, house keys, and even your home address!

The Purse Guardian also functioning as a reusable shopping bag.
